Immersed in science

1 Immersion main

Whitewater Middle School sixth graders, Blake Wegner (above, front from left), Calvin Baker, Anisa Dauti (back) and Savannah Hill don safety goggles at Science Immersion Day at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Jan. 29. The students attended three lab sessions in the morning to learn about chemistry, fossils and ancient river streams, and a biology insect study. In the afternoon, they learned about the science of light and sound in a “behind-the-scenes look at theatre production” at Young Auditorium. Hill and Dauti, left, explore during the fossil study that day. (Submitted photo)
