Officials at the East Troy Community School District want to remind residents there are three open School Board seats on the ballot for the Spring General Election on April 5, 2016.
The terms of office for the School Board members will begin on April 25, 2016.
The two candidates with the highest vote count will fill the two regular three-year term positions, held by board President Ted Zess and Vice-president Dawn Buccholtz. The candidate with the third highest vote count will fill the remaining unexpired two-year term position that Mike Zei was appointed to earlier this year.
A campaign registration statement and a declaration of candidacy, must be filed no later than 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, in the office of the School District clerk. If nomination papers are required, the deadline for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, in the office of the School District clerk.
