WILLIAM LEEK

      William “Bill” Leek, 88, of Delavan, passed away peacefully at his home Aug. 30, 2015.

He was born in Janesville April 1, 1927, to William and Mary Dee (Snethen) Leek. Bill graduated from Delavan-Darien High School and enlisted in the United States Navy where he was stationed on the AKA55 supply ship fleet oiler, USS Sacramento PG-19 gunboat and USS Navasota. He proudly served his country during World War II. Bill married RoseMary Broome Aug. 2, 1949, in Delavan. RoseMary passed away Nov. 25, 1993.

Most of Bill’s life he was self-employed as an electrician owning Leek’s Appliance and Motor Services and also American Marine. He loved dancing and frequented many of the dance halls in his spare time. He married Sharon Jacobs on Oct. 11, 2002. Together they enjoyed traveling and their weekly dances.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, James Arthur Leek, Joan Marie Leek Duvall, John B. Leek, Mary Jane Leek (Clyde) Pence, Pamela Sue Leek (George) Predick and Thomas Charles Leek; grandchildren Josh, Christopher, Michael, Daniel, Bryan, Ryan, Stacey, Marybeth, Katie, Jason, Matthew, Stephanie and Amanda; three great grandchildren Jillian, Claire and Kayden; and his sister, Betty Milne. Bill is preceded in death by his first wife, RoseMary; and four children, Barbara, Freddie, Michael and Patricia.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 416 W. Geneva St., Delavan. Memorial Services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating.
