TED JENINGA

Jeninga2C Ted Pic      Ted “Theo” Jeninga, 82, of Delavan, died June 1, 2015, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn.

He was born in Heerlen, Netherlands, Jan. 10, 1933, to Jan and Boukje (Dykstra) Jeninga. He married Nellie Kalma July 26, 1958, in Toronto, Canada. They came to Delavan in 1961. He was employed as a machinist at Sta-Rite Industries and a tool and die maker at Jeninga Bros. After retirement, Ted drove bus for the Dousman School District. He is a longtime member of the Delavan Christian Reformed Church.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nellie; four children, Belinda (Mike) Jeske and their three children, John (Pam) Jeninga and their three children, Fred (Joni) Jeninga and their three children, and Liane (Terry) Furseth and their son; two special grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and siblings, John (Eve) Jeninga, of Delavan, and Dina Burgstede, of Delavan. He is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Delavan Christian Reformed Church, 850 Oak St. in Delavan with the Rev. Dan Roeda officiating. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church.
