Eye-opening lesson

Studio groupKelly Gunn (far left) a local artist who is legally blind, shared her book: “AB See Animals” with Mrs. Maron’s 4-K students from Washington Elementary School in Whitewater during a recent visit to Studio 84 The students, along with their moms and grandmas, were able to experience firsthand what it would be like to be blind. They were given blindfolds, paper and watercolors and asked to create their own painting. Gunn has been taking art classes at the studio since October of 2012. When she first began Gunn was unsure if there was paint on her brush or if her brush was touching the canvas. Following the painting activity, the class and Gunn posed for a group photograph.
