The girls made 203 sleeping bags out of recycled materials for those in need. The girls turned to the community for donations of gently used sheets, blankets, tablecloths, curtains, and men’s neckties (used for straps). The sleeping bags were distributed to homeless in the Milwaukee area by the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The girls said they were grateful to everyone who donated items and sent a special thank you to PolkaDots and More, Quilt-agoius, Alpine Valley, Love Inc., Rodeway Inn Hotel in Mukwonago, St. James Methodist Church in East Troy, and Bartlett Mobile Maintenance for supporting the project. Troop leaders are Jenny Gulig, Carol Mast and Casey Heimos.
