THOMAS A. LINSKENS

Thomas A. Linskens, 86, of East Troy, died April 27, 2015. He was born in Milwaukee on May 28, 1928, to Albert and Delberta Linskens (nee Gunther).

He was a graduate of Marquette High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He married Sharon (nee Seter) in Milwaukee on Jan. 11, 1958.

He and his family moved to East Troy in 1976, where he enjoyed farming and gardening.

He honorably served his country in the National Guard. He worked a few years at the Milwaukee Road and put in 35 years at Kearney & Trecker.

He had a passion for playing the harmonica, having been taught by a nun in his formative years. He played many solos at the monastery in Burlington.

During more recent years, he and his wife were members of a local band “Music Makers,” playing for various events. He was known to accompany the organist (Peter) during the Saturday evening worship at St Peter’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; sons, John and Scott (Ann); granddaughter Rachel Linskens; and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be at noon on Friday, May 8, St Peter’s Catholic Church, 1975 Beulah Ave., East Troy. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to a charity of choice.
