ELMER C. JENSEN

Jensen2C Elmer Photo      Elmer C. Jensen, 91, died Feb. 28, 2015, at Ridgestone Village in Delavan.

He was born in Chicago and had two sisters, the late Dorothy and Mary. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He was a World War II veteran, serving in Okinawa and the Pacific Rim. He was employed, like his late father, in the building trade and worked for many years as the supervising custodian at Bethesda Retirement Home in Chicago. He was a long-time resident of Delavan and a member of East Delavan Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his wife, Kari (Egeland) Jensen and many family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christian W. Jensen and Bertha M. (Skov) Jensen.

A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at East Delavan Baptist Church, 3205 Theatre Road in Delavan with the Rev. Steve Hollenbeck officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Burial will take place at East Delavan Cemetery in Delavan.

Monroe Funeral Home is assisting the family.
