Candidates file for spring election

Four vie for trustee seats, two for president

The three incumbents on the Village of Walworth Board have filed candidacy papers, along with one other.

Village trustees trustees Rick Novak, Dennis Vanderbloemen, and Todd Watters have all filed papers signifying their bid for re-election in the April election. In addition, a fourth candidate, Thomas Connelly, Jr., has thrown his hat into the ring for one of the seats, according to the village clerk’s office.

As for village president, incumbent David Rasmussen and new candidate Mary Ann Kahl both filed candidacy papers. Pat Hubertz was the only candidate to file papers for municipal judge.

In the Village of Sharon, incumbents Lawrence Diderich, Pam Woodrich and Michael Brooke are all pursuing re-election to their village trustee seats for the upcoming term. In addition, Zachary Cantwell filed candidacy papers for the election. Voters will be asked to choose no more than three of the four candidates during the April Election.

In addition, Mark Ruosch is again running for Village President. According to information provided by the Village of Sharon Clerk’s Office, Ruosch is the only candidate to file papers for the village president seat.
