The Big Foot volleyball team posted a 1-5 overall record at Saturday’s Edgerton Invitational.

Big Foot now is 6-15-1 overall and 3-1 in the Rock Valley Conference. The Chiefs trail RVC leader Brodhead, which entered play this week at 3-0.

At Edgerton, the Chiefs dropped two-set matches to Lakeside Lutheran, 15-25, 9-25; to Edgerton, 23-25, 21-25; to Brodhead, 20-25, 22-25; to Deerfield, 20-25, 25-19, 13-15; and to Janesville Craig, 20-25, 11-25.

Big Foot closed the day with a 25-10, 27-25 win over Clinton.

The Chiefs split a pair of conference matches earlier in the week.

Big Foot fell 13-25, 11-25, 23-25 to Brodhead to open action, but bounced back with a 25-18, 25-23, 25-15 win over Clinton two nights later.

Leading the way in the victory were Rachel Heidenreich with 10 kills; Payton Courier and Gloria Esarco with five kills; Julia Gilstrap with four aces and 11 digs; Morgan Hoey with 11 digs; and Alyssa Zillmer with six digs and 17 assists.

Statistical leaders in the loss to Brodhead included Heidenreich with nine kills and 12 digs; Payton Courier and Esarco with four kills; Hoey with two aces and 18 digs; Katie Santeler with eight digs; and Zillmer with 12 assists.

Big Foot hosted Beloit Turner Thursday night in an RVC matchup and travels to the Badger Invitational Saturday.
