Bodies were likely dumped in field, according to police chief

Autopsies conducted on two bodies found Thursday in the Town of Geneva determined both are female.

One female has been determined to be an adult, and the other appears to be an adult, but further verification is required, according to information released Monday by the Town of Geneva Police Department.

The bodies were discovered in separate suitcases along North Como Road at about 3 p.m. Thursday, according to a press release issued by Town of Geneva Police Chief Steven Hurley Friday morning.

A highway department employee who was mowing grass in the area first spotted the suitcases in tall grass and moved them to the side of the road to finish mowing, the release said.

According to Hurley, town residents “can rest assured that this is an isolated incident and the crime did not occur where the bodies were located.”

The autopsies on both bodies were conducted for Friday at the Waukesha County Medical Examiner’s office.
Geneva Police are working with other law enforcement agencies to review missing person reports in hopes of finding a link to the bodies.

“We are hoping to learn additional information following the autopsy that will assist in identifying the individual,” the release said.

Town of Geneva Police are being assisted in the investigation by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department.
Anyone with additional information is asked to call Town of Geneva police at (262) 248-9926.
