Sprecher’s to host fundraiser for Lakeland Animal Shelter

Above is Tyson, a 5-month-old puppy that was born with sight and hearing impairments. Lakeland Animal Shelter helped rescue him from a life chained to a doghouse. He has since been adopted into a loving new home. Sprecher’s in Lake Geneva will be hosting a fundraiser Jan. 17 to help raise funds for animals with special needs like Tyson.

Gingerbread Galore

The handmade stockings are located in The Forum of the Grand Geneva. The stockings will be displayed until Dec. 29 when they will be auctioned off. All pro-ceeds will go to the United Way of Walworth County. The resort also features handmade gingerbread house contest. Hotel guests and the general public can view the gingerbread houses on display and vote for their favorites. Area residents, in both amateur and professional, adult or child categories, display their masterpieces through the holidays. Voters can also visit the Grand Geneva facebook page for new online voting options this year.
